The Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association (TnHTA) honored Pigeon Forge Western retailer, Stages West, as TnHTA’s 2017 Preferred Vendor of the Year. The award was presented at the annual “Stars of the Industry” awards Gala, held Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Gatlinburg Convention Center during the Tennessee Governor’s Conference on Hospitality and Tourism.
Stages West, located in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., has been family owned and operated for 40+ years. They are the premier, full-service boot & apparel store in the U.S., and feature a uniquely curated selection of cowboy boots and Western-influenced, fashion-forward apparel, accessories and hats.
According to TnHTA President & CEO, Greg Adkins, the hospitality and tourism industry is the second largest industry in Tennessee, creating $19 billion in total economic impact representing over 10 percent of the workforce and producing $1 billion in state and local sales tax revenue for more than 11 consecutive years.
“Individuals and companies honored by TnHTA are the driving forces behind the success of the hospitality and tourism industry across the state of Tennessee,” said Adkins. “Winners of these prestigious awards have dedicated their careers to the success of the field and have made fundamental contributions to the hospitality and tourism industry in Tennessee.”
Adkins explains each year’s nominees and winners were hand-selected by a distinguished panel of previous winners and were chosen for their shining character, demonstrated work ethic, leadership ability, and inspiring vision.
“It was pretty special for us to be honored by the TnHTA alongside others who have the same passion for what we do,” said Stephen Houser, third generation owner of Stages West. “The true honor and blessing, however, is the opportunity to serve our customers each and every day.”
